Electrolysis vs. Laser Hair Removal
At Hairender we only perform Electrolysis for true permanent hair removal. Note: Laser Hair removal is not permanent. Therefore we do not perform laser hair removal.
There are a number of ways to remove hair but only one of them is permanent. Electrolysis is the only permanent way of treating hair to achieve a smooth appearance and has been reliable for 130 years.

If you’ve been thinking about laser treatments, here is some information you should consider regarding the effectiveness and safety before you decide that this is the method of hair removal for you.
Laser's claim is Permanent Hair Reduction, which does not mean Permanent Hair Removal.
Your skin can become photosensitive after a laser hair removal treatment, which means you cannot expose your skin to the sun afterwards. There can also be skin burn damage associated with treatment.
You need to ask the question “How does the laser tell the difference between hair pigmentation and skin pigmentation?†We have seen cases in our clinic where clients of the laser hair removal system have had pigmentation concerns, either hypo- or hyper- pigmentation after treatments.
The process of laser seems to be hit or miss, which means poor cost-to-benefit ratio for clients. Costs of treatment packages for laser often exceed that of a full course of treatment for electrolysis. When you spend that type of money, you want to be assured of completely permanent results. We have seen some clients who have had laser treatments where all the original hair returned, and in many cases much of it had become coarser and darker.
If you do decide on laser hair removal you will want to make sure that the company you choose has insurance coverage. This can be a concern, as there have been many lawsuits to date.
As Dr. James Schuster has written, “Generally speaking, laser epilation is achieving only minimal permanence even under the best of conditions (fair skin and dark hair) and multiple treatments. We believe that electrolysis is still the gold standard for comparison when one is considering methods of permanent hair removal. Only electrolysis can remove any hair on any part of the body and still let you have a nice suntan.â€Â
